Welcome to Business Growth Strategies (BGS)
BGS is a boutique management consultancy specialising in growth strategies for small and medium size businesses.
As a Nominated Advisor to the National Stock Exchange of Australia (NSX), we help companies list on that exchange by project managing the listing process and then, once listed, help ensure that the company continues to fulfill their listing obligations. We deal with high growth companies that require equity funding to take their business or business idea to the next level, or established companies wishing to enhance their value, take over a competitor or use listing on a stock exchange as part of a succession planning strategy that will allow founders an orderly exit.
Joining a public listing market, like NSX, is usually seen as a way to grow and enhance a business. A public stock exchange offers listing companies and security issuers many benefits incliding:
Access to capital
Wider investor base
Secondary trading
Improved valuation
Acquisition currency
Share incentives
Higher public profile
Improved customer & supplier status
Exit strategy
Becoming listed on a public market is a logical step in the evolution of many businesses, but should only be taken after proper consideration of the advantages and disadvantages of listing. Most successful private companies see public listing as the natural course to continued growth and success. For founders, it is often a key element in realising the value of the business after many years of hard work.
Utilising the NSX allows for the use of four main listing routes:
